Selecting and sizing a Hedland Flow Meter-Fluids

Hedland Flow Meters and in-line Flow Sensors are offered in aluminum, brass, stainless steel and polysulfone to monitor a wide range of fluids. Aluminum is offered as a rugged, low cost flow meter for monitoring non corrosive water-based or petroleum-based fluids, in flow ranges up to 300 GPM, under pressures up to 3000 PSI. Brass models are recommended for water systems or other applications where galvanic corrosion could become a problem. Brass units are available in flow ranges up to 130 GPM, rated to withstand pressures up to 3000 PSI.

Stainless Steel is offered for monitoring corrosive or caustic fluids, such as phosphoric acid in flow ranges up to 130 GPM, under pressures up to 5000 PSI. Transparent Polysulfone units are offered with stainless steel parts to monitor a wide range of fluids in flow ranges up to 28 GPM, under pressures up to 220 PSI.
